7 Reasons to Join a Community Group

CG-7-Reasons-16x9

1. YOU BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

We love gathering together on a Sunday morning to worship together and listen to God’s word, but true community can’t exist solely on a Sunday morning gathering. Each Community Group consists of about 16 people, and meets weekly in someone’s home. It’s in this setting that we get to develop AWESOME friendships, laugh together, and share our lives.

2. IT’S BIBLICAL

We build our Community Groups using the early church as our model. The Bible describes disciples as a close-knit group of people who do life together, encourage one another and grow in their devotion to God, each other, and the world.

3. YOU GET TO EAT FOOD

Most groups either start the night off by sharing a meal together, or end the night by having dessert and coffee. Nuff Said…

4. YOU’LL BE SURROUNDED BY SUPPORT

Community Groups are all about doing life together. By being a part of, and engaging in one of these groups, you get to be surrounded by people to celebrate with you when things are going well, and support you when things aren’t going so well. You will have people in your life that are ready to pray with you, listen to you, and encourage you.

5. YOU’LL GROW

Being in this kind of Christian community leads to growth. Community Groups provide an amazing setting to talk about what God’s doing, look at His word, receive accountability, and talk about practical applications from Sunday’s message.

6. YOU GET TO COMPETE AT AWESOME EVENTS

We hold multiple events throughout the year, and some of them involve Community Groups going head to head in awesome games like Bubble Soccer and Dodgeball! Since the teams are made up of Community Groups, being involved in one is the best way to join in the fun!

7. DID WE MENTION IT’S FUN?

Between all of the food, laughing, hanging out together, and competing at events, Community Groups are just super fun to be a part of!

If you want to get involved in a Community Group, head to the Next Step Table on Sunday morning, or contact us here.
